ELTEHA International Ltd or is also known as LTH International is an EXPRESS COURIER AND FORWARDING COMPANY based in Indonesia.

Mr. Philippus Hendrata Herkata, born in Semarang the Capital City of Central Java province, Indonesia, founded it officially in June 1964 when he was in the age of thirty-two. Even actually the name and logo of this company already existed in 1962, but it was used for the brand of home-industry products, that were soap and battery.

At the beginning of its business operation, ELTEHA was known only as a night-bus company, buses that took journey at night. The idea was to provide bus transportation for business people and travelers who wanted to have journey at night and arrive in destination city next morning. The first route was only from Semarang to Jakarta vice versa, but then it expanded to reach other cities in Java and then Bali. It was quite understood that public transportation in that time was not as good as what available in the present. Therefore people most welcomed the services of ELTEHA night-buses that transported passengers from Jakarta to West Java, Central Java, East Java, up to Denpasar-Bali, Vice Versa.

In addition to transporting passengers, ELTEHA also accepted to carry and deliver documents, big and small packages that were transported together with the passengers in the night-buses. ELTEHA did this activity as a secondary business as in that time the company focused the business in transporting passengers on the night-buses.

Time goes by and things are changing. We could not predict things to be as what we liked them to be, but they would surely be as what the passing time would change them.

Later on, it showed that the people demand for sending documents, big and small packages were even bigger than transporting passengers. The ELTEHA night-buses were surely getting full of big and small packages rather than passengers.

For this reason, ELTEHA then concentrated its business on carrying and delivering cargoes, packages and documents, on door-to-door service, that later on it became the main business of the company.

In just the first few years of its operation, ELTEHA in Indonesia had been growing rapidly.  The company then established new branches here and there, all over the Indonesia archipelago to fulfill the needs of people who wanted to send documents or packages one another with their relatives or business partners located in other parts of Indonesia regions.

Up to the present time, the network of ELTEHA has always been expanding along with the people demand.

ELTEHA now maintains a courier network of over 250 points of destination in Indonesia also overseas branches in Singapore, Los Angeles and New York. This network is powered by our own branch offices with our own people and facilitated with own fleet of more than 500 vehicles.

Being the proof of quality, ELTEHA - LTH International has received International Awards such as International Gold Star For Quality, International Asia Award 1985, America Award 1987, and lately a prestigious Award from The Indonesian Government, so-called Penghargaan Adikarya Pos.
